Set custom MAC address on a bridge or interface

Local MAC addresses

You can safely choose any of these MAC addresses for local equipment, they are reserved for local use:

?2-??-??-??-??-??
?6-??-??-??-??-??
?A-??-??-??-??-??
?E-??-??-??-??-??
All manufacturer ranges can be found at standards-oui.ieee.org/oui/oui.txt, MikroTik have ranges beginning with 4C, 64, 6C, D4, E4. For VMware manually assigned MAC addresses are in 00:50:56:00:00:00 - 00:50:56:3F:FF:FF. For Xen, ranges begin with 00:16:3E etc.

# If they are bridge connected - show which interface/port the MACs are connected to on the bridge

# If they are switch connected - show which interface/port the MACs are connected to on the switch

# Clear ARP table for all IPs (find without arguments will find them all)

# Change interface name on 3rd ethernet port (find the port by it's default name, since it is often renamed)
